Many students across Los Angeles County' head to class with empty stomachs, causing a distracted mind, and preventing them from learning in the classroom.
Food insecurity is a symptom of increasing poverty that has been exacerbated by the COVID-19 crisis. Concerned Citizens Community Involvement has expanded the scale of our health and food security efforts through strategic partnerships with organizations such as:
Trader Joes
TORCH LA

The American Heart Association

Everyone should have access to fresh, healthy food. Through Trader Joe's, Concerned Citizens Community Involvement now distributes USDA-approved fruits and vegetables weekly, serving hundreds of struggling families. We continue to provide food and hope for people and communities in need every day. CCCI helps reduce food insecurity.
